Provide counseling, screen (free), intensive outpatient treatment (8-14 week program with group sessions, individual sessions, 12-step recovery, and urine screens), pregnancy support and postpartum support for long-term abstinence and recovery maintenance (medication-assisted treatment, coordinated care with OB/GYN, and counseling), medication-assisted recovery (detox), anger management, family sessions, substance abuse education (required for substance abuse-related offenses).

Nonprofit, direct service agency serving homeless and needy of New Orleans. Inpatient: 90-day inpatient treatment with 24 hour nursing, treatment of co-occuring disorders, travel assistance, detox, group/individual counseling, weekly family program.

Bethel House and Women at the Well programs

No cost, faith-based organization for 6-month minimum substance abuse treatment for men (Bethel house) and women (women at the well) including bible study, housing, meals, laundry, transportation, medical screening, recreation, counseling, work therapy, and volunteer projects.  Abstinence-only, no medication-assisted treatment.

Adult Psychiatric Program: inpatient, outpatient, and partial hospitalizations.  Addictive Disorders/Dual Diagnosis Program: comprehensive treatment plan.  Adolescent Psychiatric Program: comprehensive behavioral health for ages 12-17.  Military Rehab Program: military-specific mental health issues.  Adult Outpatient Program: day treatment and support.

River Oaks Hospital accepts most insurance and managed care plans as well as TRICARE®, V.A. Benefits, Medicare, and Louisiana Medicaid (for most of our inpatient programs).

UMC’s Addiction Clinic

UMC Primary Care Center Integrated healthcare provides medication assisted treatment for opioid use disorders in a primary care setting. Hours: 8:30 – 5:30 W and 8:30 -12:30 Th.

Substance abuse intensive outpatient services provide patients with 1:1 therapy with a licensed clinical social worker. The program will be expanded in the future to include group therapy for people recovering from addiction disorders.
